" Album released in Spain in 1977 and reissued the creative published in 1966, performed by the chorus of Dr. Jester Hairston (North Carolina, 1901-2000), composer, lyricist, arranger, boss and actor in film and television. The LP is titled viewed like the opening track, 'Amen', which was undoubtedly the principally famous creation that Hairston composed toward the movie "Lilies of the Valley'(1963) ~ means of Ralph Nelson. The contents of the disc is entirely directed to the spiritual or history of christ music. Next to the cover name also includes another of his persons of rank creations, 'Mary's Little Boy Child', written in 1956 and perchance the only Christmas song written through an African American with such prosperous issue. The entire repertoire, made all arrangements Jester Hairston's hold, is remarkable for the depth and security of the interpretation of the choir."
